Awards

Friends of Nursing supports 38 awards for Nursing Excellence. Each year, hundreds of Duke Nurses are nominated by their patients, patients’ loved ones, or by colleagues. The winners are determined through a selection process that ensures fairness and prevents bias. Members of the FON Awards Committee review the nominations, which have been blinded, and select the 38 nurses to be honored based on established criteria.
